BBR Indie Films was built on a simple belief: if the room doesn't exist for you, you build it yourself — and you make it big enough to uplift everyone who walks in behind you.

BBR Indie Films LLC is a Cobb County-based creative economy and workforce development platform hosted at Studio Movie Grill, 40 Powers Ferry Road, Marietta, GA 30067. Operating bi-monthly since 2023, we have produced 15+ consecutive sold-out events driving 2,250 total attendees through Marietta, averaging 900 attendees a year and supporting local restaurants, vendors, and small businesses.

We have attracted 4,000+ filmmaker submissions from around the world, including international films from Chile, Africa, and beyond — with selected filmmakers traveling internationally to premiere their work in Marietta, Georgia. Our platform provides direct mentorship from 63+ industry professionals whose credits include Netflix, BET, HBO, and Tyler Perry Studios, creating a workforce pipeline from indie to studio for Georgia's film industry.

I wanted to create a room
big enough for everyone.

Oleathia "Butta B-Rocka" Robinson understood early on that you have to build your own rooms — and that when you do, you build them wide enough to uplift and highlight others along the way. BBR Indie Films is that room.

Since 2023, she built BBR from a single event into a multi-platform indie film media company with 15+ sold-out events, a 4,000+ filmmaker community, and international reach across the US, Africa, Chile, and beyond.
